Trust & Safety

Safety is the entire reason SchoolVan exists. Here's how we design the platform to protect students, give parents visibility, and hold drivers accountable.

Driver verification

Every driver must submit a CNIC (front & back), driving license, vehicle photo, and profile photo. SchoolVan's admin team reviews each submission before a driver receives a verified badge and can be booked by parents.

Geofenced pickup zones

Each school sets a precise location and radius. SchoolVan automatically detects when a van enters or leaves that zone, logging arrival and departure times for every assigned student.

Live location, only during trips

A van's location is only shared while a driver has an active trip running — not 24/7. Parents and the school see live position, speed, and trip status for assigned children only.

One-tap SOS

Parents and drivers can raise an SOS alert that immediately notifies SchoolVan support and the relevant school, including the last known location and the people involved.

Role-based data access

Parents can only see their own children's data. Drivers only see students assigned to them. School admins see their own school's drivers and students. Platform admins oversee verification and disputes — enforced by server-side security rules, not just app logic.

Ratings & accountability

After every trip, parents can rate their driver. Drivers with a pattern of low ratings are flagged for review by SchoolVan and the school.

Reporting a safety concern

If you ever feel unsafe during a trip, use the SOS button in the app — it works for both parents and drivers and alerts SchoolVan support immediately. For non-urgent concerns, raise a support ticket from the Account tab, or reach us directly via the Contact page.
